you know fuel is high when you swipe your card and the pump shuts off at $100 and you gotta swipe your card again to finish filling your tank up!!!

RE: Houston, we have a problem

I used to put my emergency pull break cable thing around my 5er pin when in storage. Then one day I hooked up to it and forgot pull the cable off the pin. After I got everything done and went to put the cable on the hitch handel I noticed where it was. Had to unhook everything and pull the truck forward. My cable happened to be cut in half. Didn't take much to fix but was a big PITA having to unhook and rehook just because I was stupid.

RE: Forest River - Wood plank floor

The instructions we received from out installer was warm (not hot) water sparingly. We are at 3 years and laminate looks like new. About every 4 to 6 months I give is a good cleaning with a Bissel carpet shampooer with a hard floor attachment. Again, I use only warm water.
Vic
I work at a company called Wilsonart. We make laminate and the laminate flooring. We sell a cleaning product for our flooring but I agree that the warm water works just as good.

RE: Atwood Hydro-flame furnace not lighting-sometimes

Eddy, I had the same problem about a year ago. I took the board in to my local RV dealer and had them check it. The problem was the flame detector. It would fire for a few seconds and blow hot, then cold. I would do this 3 times in a row and then would just blow cold. The board would try 3 different times in a row to ignite, but since the flame detector wasn't seeing the flame it would shut off. I bought a dinosaur board and put it in, no problems since. My RV place didn't charge anything to check the board, took about 2 mins for them to plug it in and tell me what the deal was. Good luck with it!

RE: More than one?

My parents have 2 TT's. One is the Nice one for camping and traveling. The other is the deer lease trailer, it's got 3 beds and everything works, but it's small. If we didn't sit outside drinking beer most of the night me, my dad, and bro in law would prolly kill each other after a few day's in the tiny thing.

RE: Bradley portable smoker

I've been looking at the digital bradly smoker, it's the bigger one but I haven't pulled the trigger on it just because I'm not sure how much I'll like hauling it around. I hope someone chimes in with some info about the portable one!

RE: Generator security

I use a cable with a combination lock on the end and run it through the handles of my genny's and around the back bumper of my 5er. Never had any problems yet.

RE: They are out there waiting to get you!!

I learned a trick in the military, take some paper matches and rip the heads off of them and swallow them with water. It'll put sulfer in your blood stream and keep the bugs off. I do it all the time and don't have any problem with bugs. I've heard you can buy sulfer tablets that do the same thing. I usually take 3 or 4 match heads when I do it.

Question about

I'm thinking about getting a TH. Can anyone give me some good advice and links to see the floorplans on different models? I want a 5th wheel, and would prefer a fiberglass body. I've looked at some of the manufactors websites and liked a couple things that I saw. I'm just wanting to make sure I'm not missing any manufactors and end up buying something and wishing I would have got something else. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Chris

RE: Installing Laminate Wood Floors??

I actually work for a company called Wilsonart. We make the flooring your talking about. You can get the foam from any dealer that has the flooring. I'm not sure about other brands but ours needs to be put on the foam. I'm not honestly sure why, but thats how it is. We have a "tap and lock" system that requires no glue but it's best to use a glue. We also have a line of glue recommended for that purpose. I used to work on the "lines" makeing the flooring, although about 3 yrs ago I moved to the maint department and don't run the lines anymore. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

RE: LAST MINUTE ADVICE - NEWBIE 1ST MOTORHOME

Emmmw, you might want to invest in "The Next Exit". It's a book that basically tells you what awaits at the next exit. It's nice to know what kind of fueling stations are ahead, and how easily it'll be to get in and out of stations. Even if you have internet in your coach this book is very handy when looking for a nice place to fill up. It's not anygood for backroads but for the main highway's it's great. Good luck and happy camping!
